Jimmy's is now called the Burgundy Room. I was recently in L.A. and visited this place. Nice vibe and music.

Saw Special Ed perform when I was visiting my girlfriend. The place is small and hot, but the music is old school and, according to my girlfriend, they normally book old school acts to perform. Nothing special about the venue though.
This place does not target an "urban" crowd so just don't show up. You need to first find out if a special event is going on. The place is alright, though.

I agree. Snoop just never hit again like he did with Doggystyle. Get back with Dre Snoop. Later for the new kids, You should be catering to your original fans. This album is aiight.
Maybe its a bit unfair to continually hold Snoop to "Doggystyle" standards, but we do. The album is solid, but you find yourself wanting more.
Snoop has an auto-tune laced track that now seems a bit outdated, but he also delivers a song with a vintage G-Funk vibe.
Our favorite cut is a tune featuring Jazmine Sullivan called "Different Languages" (listen below).
Like most Old School artists, Snoop is trying to appeal to the new school while still trying to accommodate his original Old School fans. Many have tried to "bridge the gap," but only a few have succeeded (i.e. Jay-Z).
Get the album if you can, but don't spend your gas money.
Being that we have eaten at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles in L.A. many times, we were a bit skeptical of Gladys Knight's. Many restaurants have adopted the chicken & Waffle concept, but few have put any substance behind it. Gladys Knight's is the real deal.
The waffles are actually tasty. They definitely use a special batter that is not a commodity bought from a manufacturer. Along with the waffles come jumbo wings that are decent, but not spectacular.
We actually like the rest of Gladys Knight's menu, which consists of many Southern fried specialties, like smothered chicken.
The restaurant is in the heart of ATL, right on Peachtree. But, DO NOT go late night after hanging out. The space is small, there is not waiting area, and people tend to chill because they just left the club.
Go for breakfast, lunch, or Sunday brunch and you will enjoy the meal and the atmosphere.

Ludacris is definitely not a co-owner by name. On any given night you can see him there greeting customers and just hanging out.
The food is moderately priced with reasonable portions. Guys will probably not get full, but the ladies should be ok. Singaporean food consists of many dishes served with chicken, beef, and rice.
The venue is large, consisting of a patio and two levels for eating; as well as seating for large parties.
The vibe is what really makes Straits and great place. DJs spin mellow hip hop and R&B, ranging from A Tribe Called Quest to Erykah Badu.
The downside to Straits is the small bar section. Straits hosts a popular happy hour on Tuesdays and draw a large after work crowd on Fridays. It gets pretty crowded around the bar and is hard to sift through the crowd.
Also, there is only valet and pay parking next to the restaurant. You may get lucky and find an open street space, but don't count on it.
Overall, we like Straits. Our advice, get there early if you only want drinks. If eating, just hang out, listen to some real urban music, and introduce yourself to Ludacris. He's a real down-to-earth dude.

Vintage 90's Hip Hop from The Souls. This album sounds like they were in a time capsule and just released. If you were an early 90s fan of The Souls, definitely get this.
