DJ Jazzy Jeff, Slick Rick, Biz Markie, Doug E. Fresh, and many other Old School artists headline a long weekend of partying in Charlotte, NC for the CIAA basketball tournament.

JazzyJeff1lgFor those of you who are not familiar with the annual CIAA college basketball tournament, you all may want to get with the program. 

CIAA is a college sports conference that primarily consists of Historically Black Colleges and Universities ("HBCUs") in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.  NBA basketball players like Earl Monroe, Charles Oakley, Ben Wallace, and Flip Murray are a few notable ballers who once played for CIAA conference schools.

Like most HBCU family, CIAA students and alumni use the basketball tournament as a convenient reason to host Charlotte's biggest party weekend.

There's plenty of parties specifically for alumni and Grown Folks. Along with Jazzy Jeff and the Old School legends mentioned earlier, both day and night parties will be hosted by 9th Wonder, D-Nice, D.C. Go-Go legends Chuck Brown & DJ Kool, and many others.

If you live on the East Coast, we suggest that you take a drive to North Carolina at some point this weekend.  Trust us, it will be well worth it.
